Kumari Falls (Seethawaka) කුමාරි ඇල්ල (සීතාවක) Kumari Falls is a small waterfall with a height of about 4m, fed by the cool water of Ambangama Oya. According to a legend, this fall got the name 'Kumari Fall' because Sita was a daughter of King Rajasingha. To explain further, the name Kumari Ella was used for this waterfall because of the daughter of Tikiri Bandara or the first Rajasingha King who reigned after King Mayadunne. Legend has it that since the time of King Mayadunne who reigned as Sita, this place has been a bathing place for the royal family and especially the royal queens often came here to bathe. One day the king's daughter named Kumari went to bathe in this waterfall. She fell into a waterhole at that place and died. That is why this fall is said to be Kumari fall.
