කුමාරි ඇල්ල (සීතාවක)

• Kumari Falls is a small waterfall with a height of about 4m, fed by the cool water of Ambangama Oya.
• According to a legend, this fall got the name 'Kumari Fall' because Sita was a daughter of King Rajasingha.
• To explain further, the name Kumari Ella was used for this waterfall because of the daughter of Tikiri Bandara or the first Rajasingha King who reigned after King Mayadunne.
• Legend has it that since the time of King Mayadunne who reigned as Sita, this place has been a bathing place for the royal family and especially the royal queens often came here to bathe.
• One day the king's daughter named Kumari went to bathe in this waterfall.
• She fell into a waterhole at that place and died. That is why this fall is said to be Kumari fall.

• Since then, the pit where the princess is said to have drowned is known as 'Kumari Pit' and the waterfall as 'Kumari Ella' and 'Kumari Ella'.
• The place called Kumari Phara here is extremely dark in those times. Kumari Vara is a wonderful location like a bath. 
• But, if you bathe in that place, you should keep in mind that there is also a risk of accidents.
• From Puwakpitiya, when you reach a distance of almost 3km on this road, you can see the Kumari Falls on the slope below the road.

• කුමාරි ඇල්ල අඹන්ගම ඔයේ සිසිලස පිරි දිය දහරින් පෝෂණය වුණු ,4m පමණ උසින් යුතු කුඩා දිය ඇල්ලකි.

• ජනප්‍රියවාදයකට අනුව සීතාවක රාජසිංහ රජුගේ දියණියක් නිසා මේ ඇල්ලට 'කුමාරි ඇල්ල' යන නම ලැබී ඇත.

• තවත් පැහැදිලි කරොත් මෙම දිය ඇල්ලට කුමාරි ඇල්ල යන නම යොදා ඇත්තේ මායාදුන්නේ රජතුමාගෙන් පසු සීතාව රජකම් කළ ටිකිරි බණ්ඩාර හෙවත් පළමුවැනි රාජසිංහ රජුගේ දූ කුමරිය නිසාය.

• සීතාවක රජකම් කළ මායාදුන්නේ රජතුමාගේ කාලයේ සිටම මෙම ස්ථානය රජ පවුලේ දිය කෙළිනා ස්ථානය පැවති අතර විශේෂයෙන් රජ බිසෝවරු මෙහි දිය නාන්නට නිතර පැමිණි බවට ජනප්‍රියත්වය තිබේ.

• එක්තරා දිනක කුමාරි නම් වූ රජුගේ දියණිය මේ දිය ඇල්ලෙන් දිය අක්ෂිමට ගොස් ඇත. ඇය එම ස්ථානයේ පිහිටි දිය වළක වැටී මරුමුවට පත් වී ඇත. ඒ නිසා ම මේ ඇල්ල කුමාරි ඇල්ල වූ බව පැවසේ.
• එදා සිට කුමරිය ගිලීමිය ගියා යැයි පැවසෙන වළ ‘කුමාරි වළ’ ලෙසත් දිය ඇල්ල ‘කුමරි ඇල්ල’ සහ ‘කුමාරි ඇල්ල’ ලෙසත් හැදින්වේ.
• මෙහි ඇති කුමාරි වළ පවතින ස්ථානය එම කාලවලදී අතිශයින් ම දැකුම්කළු ය. කුමාරි වළ, නාන තටාකයක් බන්දු අපූර්ව ස්ථානකි.
•  එම ස්ථානයේ නානවා නම්, අනතුරු සිදුවීමේ අවදානමක් ද පවතින බව සිහි තබා ගත යුතු ය.
• පුවක්පිටියේ සිට මේ මාර්ගයේ 3kmකට ආසන්න දුරක් පැමිණිවිට හමුවන හේවා ඉන්න පාරේ දුරක් ගිය විට පාරට පහලින් කුමාරි ඇල්ල දැකගත හැකිය.
